What do you think of the Barack Obama "Sweetie"comment?

Senator Obama was correct in apologizing for the "off-the-cuff" sweetie comment he made. Personally I was going for a maritime security position at Norweigan Cruise Lines and I was deeply insulted when the second in command,Julia Maltos, who did not know me personally or professionally (former law enforcement) called me sweetie. My wife doesn't call me sweetie!!! I hope she was severly chastised for her remedial behavior. I wanted her fired of course I did not get the job. At least I have confidence that a Senator did the right thing versus the ill-manners of a "bush-league" cruise line VP.
