Why is the BCS Bowl games and National Championship game televised on ESPN?

ESPN is televising all of the BCS Bowl games and the National Championship game, This bowl games are very important and it shouldn't televised on cable network, and should be on a national-televised network like ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX. I tired of ESPN Networks stealing important college football programming.
