Properly cleaning a granite kitchen countertop?

I purchased a home with a granite kitchen countertop. It looks beautiful but I have no idea how to clean it. Some articles on the internet suggests warm soapy water, soapstone, windex(?) to calling a professional. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to properly clean and maintain the a granite countertop?
