BMW Front Wheel Drive coupe in Burlington, VT?

I reaaalllly want to buy this car: the BMW 335i hard top convertible. It's Front wheel drive. When the top's up it's essentially a coupe so there shouldn't be any soft-top-esqe problems. Only problem is, I might be living in Burlington VT to go to the University of Vermont. An SUV might be suited better for that area. But just wondering, is it particularly snowing in Burlington? Would a BMW front wheel drive car be safe in that weather in the wintertime/in snow? Good idea? Bad idea?
