What should I do ual Harrment in the work place?
I am a EMT Intermediate. I work for a county service I am a shift supervisor. I have worked with the Director for 7 years and the last 2 weeks he has text me and stated he is . I told him I did not have a problem with biual people as long as they didn’t try anything on me. Well I worked a 24 hour shift with him on Sunday March 27. As I went to my room for the night he sends me a text message saying this is the last time I submerging the issue about being . If you want to me to play with you I’m fair and don’t care what you say. I than receive text messages from him the next day stating I lead him on to feel this way. Not sure how when I have been with my fiancĂ© for 8 years before I knew him and I have 4 year old at home That I am not allowed to contact him unless it is work related. Which him and I had been friends for the entire 7 years I have known him? I than went to work on March 30 and he was very short and it was very uncomfortable. However this has been my job since high school and love what I do and do not want to look for other employment because of one bad apple. Since this work and he is the entire department manager. I feel being a supervisor and I know the way he works and now that he has came on to me he will more than likely start looking for a reason to terminate me. I feel as a shift supervisor I should report this before it happens to someone else. However he is a very well liked manager by the county commissioners and I don’t know if they will take this as the seriousness it is. I am looking for guidance as well as knowing my options if I would get terminated for reporting this.
