Was David Bowie born with two different colored eyes?

Ever since "Ziiggy Stardust" (1960's?) to present, his left eye is brown and his right eye seems green. Could his God given "gimmick" be lenses in the 60's/? (no way!). What do you think of his "teaming up" with Freddy Mercury (and Queeen) in "Under Pressure"? Long Live Freddy!
