Instances of Revenge In Hamlet?
Ophelia's suicide could be interpreted as revenge against Hamlet himself... You could argue that she was angry to the point of insanity that Hamlet had brushed her away and/or ignored her so much while he was thinking of what to do about his own father's murder (and he didn't even explain to her why he was so distracted) + because Hamelt had (accidentally) killed her father Polonius... So maybe Ophelia wanted to hurt Hamlet, and in her disturbed state of mind she saw her own death as the best way to take revenge against him; the best way to hurt a guy who supposedly loved her but kept hurting her. Good luck!
