How can i reinstate my license in CA if i was involved in an at fault accident w/o insurance?

I payed off one claim....still working on the other. I need my car and hate to risk driving on a suspended license. It's suspended for a year. I had gotten insurance since but because my license was suspended they canceled it. What insurance company will give me insurance and can i attempt to get my license back somehow?
